Update 12th July

I must say that the past couple of weeks have been the most exciting part of our building journey so far! Every day there wre tradies onsite doing all kinds of things! The gyprock has been completed and it looks great. A huge coincidence- the owner of the company that did our gyprocking is the cousin of our new neighbour! The guys from Designer Staircases have been in and built us a lovely staircase- we are very happy with it! The waterproofers have waterproofed the wet areas in preparation for the tiling to be done. Carpenters have been hanging doors and doing the door and window frames.  Today we went over for a look and saw that the kitchen and bathrooms have been delivered ready to go in in the coming week.

Watching the house take form right before our very eyes is a fantastic experience and every day brings us closer to moving in. On Monday Peter is meeting Stewart from Wisdom Landscapes to talk about the outside stairs, pathways and driveway. We were hoping that the site would have been cleaned up and levelled by now, but no…still looks like a warzone. It will take a lot of imagination to figure out what to do with it all.

Here are a few pictures to show you how it’s all coming along. Thanks once again for visiting my blog and sharing this time with us.

    Hi Kerry
Your stair case looks awesome! What’s the bottom photo, I can’t tell. Your door looks great from the inside too. Did you get your TV spaces sorted out?
As you might have noticed we finally have a slab! Yay! In fact our little street is becoming alive with 2 other slabs going down in the last week, as well as one directly behind us! Are you guys so using the gym?
    Cheers, Sue 😆

HI Sue, Nice to hear from you! Yes, I noticed the slabs in your street! So exciting!!I have used the gym quite a few times- mainly to use the treadmill. Last week, Nikki (our daughter) and I took the dog for a long walk through some of the walking tracks- it was beautiful! If you are so inclined, maybe we could go walking when you move in. The bottom pic shows the waterproofing (it’s so unattractive) I think they will do the tiling this week. Have you and Ken been using the gym? I will be watching your home go up now- such an exciting time for you. 🙂

If you have Facebook, feel free to add me (Kerrie Cataldi)
